Learning aims and objectives: Following his previous bsspd webinar Phil has kindly agreed to present and lead a Webinar on the controversial area of occlusion, articulators, TMJ and Jaw registrations with relationship to modern Prosthodontics. Phil will present his view on the role and importance of traditional occlusal principles which will be underpinned with current evidence. He will explore the role of occlusion with common TMJ problems and what prosthodontic treatment options have a place for these patients. With the aid of clinical cases he will demonstrate the role and indication for both simple and complex Articulators and occlusal splints. He will discuss the management of para-functional patients with reference to occlusal factors relevance and restoration design and material choice.
