Phil worked for 12 years in NHS general dental practice as an associate, a principal and a VT Trainer. He has worked as a senior lecturer in Adult Oral Health at QMUL and is also honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry since 2003. He is a registered Specialist in Restorative Dentistry & Prosthodontics. Phil is current clinical director of the dental institute at Barts Health Trusts and also is clinical lead in restorative dentistry. He is dental regional advisor for Dentistry (N Thames Region ) for RCS Edinburgh and course director for the Masters in Clinical Dentistry Prosthodontics which is a recognised training course for the monospecialty of Prosthodontics. His clinical interests include: Fixed and removable prosthodontics (crowns , bridges, implants, dentures), quality of performance, success and failure. His research interests include: Tooth Wear measurement, cost effectiveness of treatment versus quality.
