BSSPD In-Practice Award
This new award is intended to support BSSPD members who work predominantly in dental practice who wish to conduct prosthodontic research or audit, or introduce a new prosthodontic technique into their practice for the benefit of their patients. The award is worth up to £1500 and must be used to support the project proposal which should detail the costs involved and clearly identify how the award will be used for patient benefit.
Regulations
1. The award is made to those who have been members of BSSPD for 3 consecutive years at the time of application and who work predominantly in general dental practice
2. The award is specifically aimed at providing financial support for general dental practitioner members of BSSPD who wish to conduct practice based audit, research in Prosthodontics or introduce a new prosthodontic technique into their practice.
3. Applicants for this award are required to submit a document which details the need for the proposal, the intended benefits for patients and the financial costs involved
4. Council are to review the award at appropriate intervals on the advice of the Awards Administrator
5. The award would be for the value of up to £1500 subject to review as in 3. Above
6. The award is the remit of the Awards Administrator and is advertised on the BSSPD website
7. A committee of judges will be appointed by consultation between the Awards Administrator and the BSSPD President. The decision on the award is final and appeals are not allowed.
